Juicy BBQ Beef Ribs

Ingredients:

  • Beef Ribs: 1-2 pounds of boneless beef ribs

Dry Rub:

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dry Rub:
    • In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, cumin, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  2. Season the Ribs:
    • Rub the dry mix generously over the beef ribs, ensuring every surface is coated. Let the ribs sit for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the fridge) to absorb the flavors.
  3. Preheat the Grill/Oven:
    • If grilling, preheat to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat to 275°F (135°C).
  4. Cook the Ribs:
    • Grill: Place the ribs on the grill, and cook for about 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally. Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 10 minutes.
    • Oven: Place ribs on a baking sheet and cover with foil. Bake for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender. Uncover, brush with BBQ sauce, and broil for 3-5 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  5. Serve:
    • Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Tips:

  • For extra tenderness, marinate the ribs in the dry rub overnight.
  • Pair with coleslaw, cornbread, or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
